Oh, well...instead of getting my bag checked, I told the security that I brought a camera with me. I showed him my SLR. But I said nothing about a videocam
. We had to give them our memory cards (I guess they didn't want to take responsibility of expensive gears). I gave them a spare memory card.
We bought the ticket standing right in front of the stage. I learned that night the best place to stand isn't smack in front, but behind 3 or 4 rows of (vertically challenged) people. I was snapping away with my zoom lens, and my sis videotaped the concert. The guards in front didn't notice us. They were busy pointing their flashlights at the people snapping away in front.
My only regret is that my camera is an old model (E-300). I had to shoot using ISO 1600 for the images to stay sharp. But the pictures became VERY noisy.
I wouldn't say that about Mraz's music though, no matter how loud it was. That dude can really sing beautifully!
